Why do you think it is the meter that killed the rhody?

No herbicides used. Beaverpeeler, just seemed that way to me,around the front side of the Bush the furthest from the meter it is where it still has some greener normal looking leaves.

I hope you wear your foil hat when you are near it. Hat, (This word is unacceptable on Trapperman), I hear that radiation stuff causes testicular cancer.

If the radiation had killed the bush I would think that others would have experienced this same phenomenon and there would be ample internet talk about it.
I'm an ag guy and have doubts about the theory. Looks like a disease issue to me.
Sad to lose a rhody that size.

In the last few years almost all the Mountain Laurel (rododendren) has died in the hills around me. Some kind of blight. That is interesting, I’ve been noticing the same thing for years. The Mountain Laurel on my property and at my camp in North Central is all dying, same here in northern Jersey.
Eh...wot?

Smart meters operate at 1 watt PEP on 902 MHz wavelength. Not sure what the antenna gain is but lets say 0 dBi. Lets say they operate for a couple minutes a day so average wattage would be .00139 watts. That means the RF power density should be around 0.0001 mW/cm2. A 4 watt cellphone used 20 min a day at 1900 MHz is 0.0122 mW/cm2.
That means your cell phone has 122 times the RF power than your Smart meter. Actually the cell phone would be much higher but I calculated them both at the same distance.
