Just getting green grass here, finally. Haven't even found a morel yet. Hummers should be here once it warms up more than it has been. Not sure what they would eat here yet. Jim

We have overwinterers here on the 45th parallel. Always amazing to see them even when there is snow on the ground.

Not yet. But got all the feeders out today. my honey said no more red dye. So she made the sugar recipe. Got to 70 today should be here soon. If I put my feeders out, they'd freeze overnight. It's been below freezing at night around here.
Remember as a kid we played army and you gave up the fort so the other side got it? Of course you don't. Little kids aren't that stupid.

I watch for the sapsuckers to return. The hummers usually arrive shortly after them. They raid the sapsucker sap holes(sweet sap and insects) if other food is scarce.
I've learned enough thru the years to now know that I don't know enough. KNOWLEDGE IS FREEDOM.
