Buddy of mine who drives a school bus up in crandon Wi. says he has week of March 25 thru 29 off for spring break. Says it is a regular scheduled school spring break. Never heard of public school spring break. Is he pulling my leg? He's been known to do that.

Pretty well standard in iowa too, it has extended since i was i school, we only had Good Friday off but now they get a week.

2 weeks here in Nevada, kids start middle of August and get out middle of June here. 1 week off end of first 9 weeks then 2 at semester ( christmas time) then 2 weeks for spring break

Public schools in north Idaho have a week of "spring break".

When I was in public school in Wisconsin back in the 50s and 60s, it was called Easter vacation. Because that is when it happened.

Used to be a week off for Easter vacation.in the 50s and 60s,70s.and 80s here in mn..Now called spring break and may not be at Easter time.

I grew up in Pennsylvania. My school district scheduled s Easter break. I say scheduled because we never got it. They always took days away from spring break if they took too many snow days, so we never got a break.

Ours was about a week ago.

my kids were off all of last week , my friends kids this week , and another school between was the week before.

it is getting more common , but it depends on the school district

We had Easter vacation in 70s also, but it was Maundy Thursday thru Easter, not a week off.
