I almost never find sheds in NYS. I find skulls with horns but almost never sheds. I always look at these pictures in awe.

There are 8 bull elk at the top of the field behind my house right now. All still have their antlers, hoping they drop before they move upriver......

That would be a lot of fun ID trapper to hunt for the big elk sheds, have to be easier to spot than these 4" spike sheds I've been finding

Yea bucks I found all them in 2 days on our Illinios lease and my buddies lease, total of 1200 acres. We are heading up there Wed for 3 days so hopefully it'll be as good as last year

That looks like a toad of a set farm trap congrats man. I'm loaded up the truck now fixing to head to Illinois Wednesday morning for 4 days of shed hunting so hopefully I'll have some pics to post

Finally hit my honey hole after work and had a really good afternoon.been staying out of there for awhile and it paid off.

Only been out twice this year, but going out some more this weekend. This is what I got so far, hope I can find some more here soon!

Finally got the dog out to look for some sheds where I trapped this last season. Not what most people picture when they think of elk, but there are elk that call this low desert home year around. All these shed where found on the mountain in the back ground. Whats nice about this spot is most locals don't know about the treasures it holds. Probably one of the few public land spots in the west that isn't covered with boot tracks from shed hunters. It's my first time hitting this area and I definitely need to go back. Wasn't able to turn up any sets or any brown elk shed (did get 3 brown deer sheds), but saw elk tracks everywhere. Fun time for sure.


Even though I wasn't able to find any sets, I was able to find 2 sheds from 2 different bucks from 2 different years.

I've done a lot of stomping looking for moose and deer sheds and I've never found a matched set. Those are sweet.

Hard enough to find a buck around here let alone fine where it dropped an antler.
