So. The wolf population has exploded in Minnesota and on the same timeline our moose have been severely depleted but we're told wolves had nothing to do with it, climate change did. Now during the same timeline the Minnesota island moose without wolves have flourished in the same climate, so now we need to bring wolves in there to lower the moose population.
I swear to God you can't make this crap up.

I'm wondering how long it will take for these " new wolves " to meet the established pack I'm no expert but things are going to be interesting to see the aftermath. Also we have way more wolves and wolf huggers than we need in Montana we could part with both. I personally think a special permit hunt makes more sense to me, make money not spend it. Allan

So much for the Park Service letting mother nature do its job, sure the moose population eats until they ruin the habitat and the population crashes that is what mother nature does but they don't like it unless the story works for their agenda. There were abundant wolfs there for years most likely killed each other off or died from mange or parvo. The few wolfs that were left there will most likely get into a turf protection situation and kill the transplanted wolfs or they will die trying. Should be a good fight. They could film it and sell the footage to raise money to pay back all the money they wasted transplanting these pests.

Yeah I am thinking 4 strange wolves meeting 4 other strange wolves is gonna result in wolves killing each other not forming a larger pack, but that's just a theory. I don't know that much about wolves

Dave Mech,a scientist from The international wolf center in Minnesota says it will be a good chance to learn more about wolves. The biggest problem with these "closed study areas" is the fact that man has been removed as the top predator in the natural scheme of things so they are unnatural to begin with so can never be in balance.

Just more wolves we paid for to do this then we can't control them when the need comes around so they destroy the other conservation work that has been done over the years to improve wildlife!

This has been ongoing on isle royal for decades. It's the "researchers" personal play ground in the guise of actual learning something from populations they don't already know.

The wolf numbers will boom. And since they are protected they cannot be controlled. So as the moose population dwindles and wolves start dieing they will start transplanting more moose to bring the wolves back. It's a vicious circle.
