I realized I wasn't a kid anymore when I got a birthday card from my Aunt, minus the dollar she always sent.

When my oldest daughter was about to be born I was pretty excited. I was once again a civilian and thought I had it covered. Went to the delivery room and figured it would not be much different than waiting on a calf. I had been wrong before but not that wrong. When they handed that tiny helpless baby girl to me and I looked at her for the first time something happened. I realized the only thing between that baby and a largely uncaring big world was me. I cant explain what came over me any more than that.

When I started making decisions based on how they would affect the lives of others vs how it would affect me. this! ime 28...worked all my life, in a very mature role often working with the great and the good and royalty....but still not rely being grown up deep down, I always put it down to being young at heart.. it was not until I started work for the money, money that would buy little shoes and fill little bellies and provide for a house that would house my little girls. that's when I become a man, ive always been manly, in many ways and still am being a 5 ft 10 17 stone lump of cumberlands finest who makes a living from killing critters and welding, but have only just become a ,an

This is a good question. When I get done with my Capn’ Crunch and my cartoons are over, I’ll post my experience

This is a good question. When I get done with my Capn’ Crunch and my cartoons are over, I’ll post my experience Same here. But I have to wait for my nails to dry. I was also informed that they need to braid my beard. Not sure when I will catch up on the 5 or so episodes of Bob the builder that I have missed. Never mind, they decided to braid my hair, what little I have left. Then there was my boy, he gave me a high five, said he got got all A's and B's and asked what the heck is going on with my hair, nails and beard. I told him don't ever have daughters. So, that last part is how it went down in my mind. Pretty sure he has just laughed at me since he is the oldest. First off, we have always lived well(by our standards). No new cars. New house. My DAD and I build it from the ground up. Spent 2 years either working or working on building the house. That sucked. It sucked even more since I spent the two years before that building my parents house.
