If a landowner has his or her land leased to hunters, and the hunters want a trapper to help with predator control, can the leasing hunters sign legal written permission or only the landowners?

In some states permission can be given by the land owner or their agent.
Keith this is true in Oregon. Lessor's have domain over such land under a lease. Like your land lord can't just walk in to your house. But the landlord can tell you you cant have other people living there

In general I’d say it depends on the terms of their lease. Some leases may allow the hunters to utilize contractors to improve the hunting conditions, some may not. Does their lease only allow them to hunt, or also make improvements? All that said, I don’t know your state laws.

Boco couldn't catch a cold. But if he did, it would be Top Lot.

Depends on the lease but it sounds like both the hunters with the lease and yourself have some reservations about asking the landowner. If that is the case, I think you're likely on really thin ice and looking to have an issue.
ETA- if there is no signed lease they don't have the right to give out written permission. At that point, you are not a "guest".

Here your best bet is got a hold of the land owner, or see a copy of the lease agreement, which sometimes can be a real pain to do. You should approach the leaser owner and explain the situation so as to not get thrown off the ground due to a miss-understanding of who has the rights. Just depends on how those lease's are set up, you know the fine print !!
Some leases don't even give the leaser permission to hunt or fish or anything else, and it's found out by the land owner whats going on and every one is kicked out.
Some landowners don't care, others will have hunting or fishing but no trapping, or they want their share of the fur check, this was a problem for myself when I was doing some bird hunting clubs depredation, when the land owner found out the leaser was doing bird clubs without his permission he shut 3 of them down due to his not liking hunting.
We have a lot of large amounts of private ground leased out to care takers who also do the deer and elk and other hunting work through the seasons, it pay's to check everything before just setting up !
Sorry if my opinions or replies offend you, they are not meant to !

If a landowner has his or her land leased to hunters, and the hunters want a trapper to help with predator control, can the leasing hunters sign legal written permission or only the landowners? That is not the case. I know the landowner personally, better than I do the hunters. I worked for him for almost two years, there would be no issue trapping this property. The hunters just asked if they could give permission and I told them I didn't know. I'm confused. What is the reason for the question that doesn't really seem to need an answer?

The question was whether or not people leasing could legally give written permission to trap. I don't need it in this particular situation, and didn't realize I implied that. Sorry for the confusion. Thank you all for your replies too.
