Several weeks ago, a client of mine was traveling into Pittsburgh on a major artery and noticed a roadkilled coyote piled up along a jersey barrier. He made a mental note to stop on the way back a pick it up as it might be salvaged for a hanging pelt. He did stop on the return trip and the yote was still there. As he picked it up, he noticed a wad of bills lying next to the belly of the yote. He threw the yote in the bed of the truck and began counting this tightly rolled wad of money. It came to $780. The money didnt have a rubber band on it, just rolled really tight. It occurred to him if the roll was being moved along the jersey barrier by the draft of speeding vehicles, some bills may have peeled off before it was stopped by the dead yote and there might be more cash in the weeds on the other side of the barrier. Sure enough, 15 minutes of searching yielded another $260 for a total of$1040.

We figure this was drug money that was tossed because somebody got nervous.

As an aside, the yote was in nice shape, big female about 40 lb. Gonna make a nice hanging pelt.

I've heard about those coyotes crossing the southern border with large amounts of cash. Never thought one would make it all the way to PA.

Great story and fantastic luck.
