Sounds good tough guys. Think about this: you're a hero at the convenience store or whatever. Cops come in, see your weapon and empty magazine on you. Don't be a hero at a convenience store, let the goon rob the place. The only guaranteed way to win a gunfight is to not get in to a gunfight. Unless you're defending yourself or your family, gun stays in the holster, turn around and run and live to fight another day. So you recommend turning your back on a guy with a gun?? Brilliant

Tough guys?
Let him rob the place?
So you guys are only concerned with your own well being. You feel it is either a macho attitude or let others be at risk.
If you do nothing do you assume the criminal will halt after this robbery? All subsequent robberies or risk to innocent lives are on you.
If you wanna risk your life getting in a gunfight with some punk over $30 dollars (not even your $30, someone else's $30) that's your business. Maybe the punk will go on to rob other places, at least I'm alive. I might not be if I decide to get in a gun battle, though.

Loose goose if some one is pointing a gun at a clerk and I have a gun and can safely take care of business at that moment for me and the clerk it needs to be done . The next clerk and bystanders might not be so lucky if you let them leave . No such thing as a safe gunfight. You might not be so lucky this time, never mind the clerks and bystanders next time. You're all really willing to risk your life for some money out of a cash register, money that's not even yours?

That's the kind of stuff people said when Maine got constitutional carry 4 years ago. Never happened. I think there was some fear in certain circles that we were going to go all wild west. Didn't happen. I don't leave my home without my handgun and I know a lot of other guys who carry all the time. It's a peaceful place.

We have had CCW forever (Permits) this just saves the paperwork and protects our 2nd amendment rights and visitors to SD from that jacket on top of a pistol or the wife taking my truck to town with my guns in it!
The last Governor vetoed it same type of bill because he wanted the fees he was a greedy tax monger that raised every tax and fee he could many multiple times once he was reelected.
Her name is Kristy Noem.
Was born in a Big City Will die in the Country OK with that!

That's not what I said. If the gun's pointed at you, then go ahead and blast away, defend yourself and your family. But if the gun's pointed at the clerk, then yes, turn and run, or hide if that's a better decision. I'm not going to get involved in a gunfight over $30 in a cash register that isn't even my money. Glad you are not my neighbor

Forget gunplay. What if the clerk was having a heart attack and needed CPR? You'd let her die rather than risk mouth to mouth? You know failure to render aid is a criminal offensee in many jurisdictions. Why would guns be any different? Newest CPR protocol is just chest compressions, center of the chest, compressing about 2". Mouth to mouth isn't recommended anymore, they found that the chest compressions are more important, and the compressions naturally make the lungs breathe. I'm not likely to die giving chest compressions Guns are different because if that punk turns around and puts one in my chest, I just died, leaving my kids fatherless and my wife a widow, all over some pocket change that wasn't even my pocket change.

Are you willing to leave your kids fatherless and make your wife a widow over some pocket change? I'm not willing in either case.

You are right... if someone is going to be without a parent then you should leave your gun in the holster. In fact you, Loosegoose, should leave your gun at home behind lock and key.
If you do decide to carry you might want to consider increasing your firearms proficiency.
