What methods do you use to clean traps during season for coyote traps?

I just switch them out if they are super dirty . I own way more traps than I can run so I don't worry about cleaning till the fall.

I've been running 50+ traps for close to 2 months and all but 10 have caught something (coon, possum, skunk, bobcat, and coyote.) I was just wondering if there was a quicker way of cleaning them up. I washed 10 at the car wash and put them in running water for 3 days, will see how that works!! Thanks !!

Pressure wash and go ! By all means you should do what makes you comfortable, don’t matter how anyone else does it .

Rub dirt on them.
Clean and wax for storage only.

The traps that catch a skunk and still smell like a skunk after pulling I set aside and don't usually use until the next season after they have been cleaned good and dipped. All other traps during the season that I pull and plan on reusing just get rinsed off good under the outside faucet.

I clean mine a little different
I boil mine in hardwood ash and sand
Turn off heat let cool and remove wax floating on top
Bring back to roiling boil and remove through the boil
Then dye and wax
The sand cleans the trap better than anything I have found so far
I just do something else till the kettle boils
