~ADC~ The Count Joined: Jun 2010 Posts: 16,428 Iowa	IMO - IF you can use a mini cam-lock legally, you're really missing out by using any others. Yes they cost a little more initially but can be reused A LOT of times unlike the one piece locks that rely on a burr on the edge of the hole or tab to lock the cable. VERY few of them when reused are going to lock down properly. However, if your dead set on one of those two locks the slim lock gets the mod from me too. ,

bctomcat trapper Joined: Jul 2009 Posts: 2,794 100 Mile House, BC Can	I have used both locks with 50# compression springs and prefer the micro lock. I have had slim locks hang up in the thick neck fur of coyotes do to the protrusion tab and thus not dispatch quickly. Whereas I had quick dispatches and no water heads using the micro lock with a compression/dispatch spring and tying high. The only constant in trapping is change so keep learning.
