With some help from some people I was able to make a couple trades from my coon/fox traps for some beaver traps. Special thanks to Sarge for giving me a bunch of help on some 330’s. Also a bunch of you answered some questions, between fur handeling and sets. I was able to get permission to trap beaver at a small piece of private land. The guy said he wants all the beaver gone. They built two really small dams on his small creek (you can step over) which leads to a much larger rIver.

To start out, I decided to set 3 #330’s. Two were newer dukes, and 1 was a used bridger. All just blind sets where they crossover the dam to the major river. Day 1, caught 2 beaver. One at 25 lbs, one at 55 lbs. Day 2, I caught another two. One at 35 lbs, one at 51 lbs. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings! An otter is on my list!

I wonder if tap dancers walk into a room, look at the floor, and think, I'd tap that. I wonder about things.....

Some nice 10 dollar bill above those tails, man are they ever full of castor.
Looks like the water level is down some in that pond.

Thanks everyone. I’ve only ever caught one beaver before. Never really had trapped for them. Nothing on day 3, but hoping tomorrow brings some luck. Saw some mink tracks so I might throw in a pocket set or 2
