Got this nice female off of our farm this morning this set had been in since Thanksgiving . The trap was bedded like a pipe dream set, I did freshen up the holes a couple of weeks ago. We have had some good rains plus snow and freeze thaw but I never messed with the trap. This was set in a mowed path in crp pasture by the fence where there was a crossing. Modified #2 duke got a nice full pad catch

Congrats! I love the compass set. I haven't tried using Zaggers bedding method yet but will be starting some this week.

Yeah its been slow on our farm this year been picking up coon and possums here and there but slow on the coyotes.

If I’m driving past it every day anyhow, I will check it from the day I set it until the last day of the season as long as I don’t run out of traps.

With our coyotes, they might be on the farm for 1 night, and if you don’t catch them, you won’t have another chance for 2 more weeks so if you set on the wrong day, you might only get 2 chances at them in a month.

Way to be patient. some times it takes a while for the coyotes to commit. The last one I caught before we got buried with snow, the trap was set for 8 weeks before one gave in to work the set. They were there the whole time but just were not working sets. If your trap is in the right spot it will connect if it is still operational.
