Anybody reload for pistol here? I currently reload for my rifle. Would it be a money saver to reload for my 10mm?

I've not reloaded for the 10mm, but i save a ton loading my own 357 plinking rounds.

If your just asking for heavy loads, you'll save, but not like loading cast bullets with a couple grains of shotgun powder for plinking.

I reload 45 ACP and for me it is marginally cheaper because everything is air freighted in here....expensive.

But where you are, it should be cheaper. I would assume that 10mm is not a large volume seller so the retail price on it is probably elevated.

If you practice quite a bit, yes.
Reloading is not as much about saving $$ as it is tuning a load the gun likes for accuracy and reliability...IME.

This some it the best. I reload for rifle and handgun and shotgun.get a reloading manual and read it and then go with what the data is start with the min. and work up the load that the gun tells you like the best.No I do not load for 10mm.

I reload my rifle for accuracy. I'm not a competent enough pistol shooter to worry about accuracy with reloads. I'd like to shoot more and at $20 per 50 bullets, practice isn't cheap.

For the heavier cartridges like .357, .44, .45 Long Colt it is worth it for me. The stuff used in high volume like 9mm and .45 ACP is produced and sold in high volume at low cost so it is not worth my time to reload it. There isn't much of a cost difference to reload 10mm vs 9mm, so you may want to look at what you can buy them for to decide for yourself.

Load 9, 38, 40, 45, 44, I shot a lot of ammo, and reloading is way cheaper for myself. As stated above pistol reloaded ammo not much price change. Pistol reloading for myself can fine tune some very accurate loads for several size of bullets. I prefer heavy bullets, some work well with powders I use some don't. I reload 20 rounds, then see how they preform.

I purchased a Glock G40 10mm earlier this year and like you have found 10mm is expensive for what it is just a longer 40 S&W. Since I already have a 40 and load for it, I already have dies and components. I figured using the brass I already have I should be able to load with something like Berry’s bullets (copper plated lead) for around $10 for 50 and that is buying bullets at 250 min quantities. I do not use a progressive so loading pistol can be a drag, but as some have already it is more about quality of ammunition and accuracy over factory ammo.

A buddy of mine has been shooting some of the Sellier & Bellot and claims it isn’t too bad for plinking and can be had in the $15 to $17 dollar price range.

10mm is trending down in price as many manufacturers are beginning to release pistols chambered in the 10mm

I have a couple 10mm and reload for them. I save money and have exactly what I want. I shoot a lot of steel and use the Hap bullet type produced by Hornady. Given you already have a press all you would need to due is pick up a set of dies/shell holder

Saving money reloading is an urban myth. Like left over bacon. No such thing. You will just shoot more. I do. Case in point. One of the pistol rounds I load is 454 Cas. Before I loaded for it, I used to take 20 rounds to the range now and then. Now I take 50 minimum every time I go. I don't bother loading for the common pistol rounds like 9mm as they are cheaper to buy in bulk then fiddle with loading the things.
357, 45LC, 454cas yes its worth it.
