I trap a public area and usually don't have any issues as I set discretely as I can, and gets little traffic after deer season. Checking my DP's that are set along a creek bank I see one knocked over. Well it's because it was shot 3 times with a 9mm (part of bullet still in bank) . The warm weather is keeping the 4 wheelers out later into the year than normal. So looks like they were riding along the creek, saw the white golf ball on the DP and thought it would be fun and safe to shoot into a very rocky creek bank and destroy someone else's property. At least they only hit the one, I have 12 out along the creek. I removed all golf balls after that. Oh well, it's part of it I guess, carry on.

The base is 90% separated from the tube, all hits were at the bottom of the tube. Tube needs most work. Could fix it , but probably just save for parts, just easier to buy a new $12 trap to replace it.

i trap mostley public land, haven't really had any problems as of yet. my sets aren't real discreet. ive only run into a couple of other trappers in the area and they usually only stay for a check or two. I usually try to talk to them and see where they are going and tell them where i'm trapping so we don't set on top of each other. everyone so far has been really good. im sure if fur prices go up Id run into a lot more!
