Looking for opinions on this small revolver, anyone have 1, like it ? Should I get the 22 or 22 mag. Mainly a new trap line gun.

I don't know much about that particular model but if it were me I would get the .22 since I have never needed anything more powerful on the trapline for anything. There is also a huge variety of .22 ammo available to suit the situations you might encounter. It is also cheaper to shoot the .22 and it is not as loud as the magnum.

I'm just happy to be here! Today I'm as young as I'll ever be and and older than I've ever been before!

My wife carries a NAA .22 mag revolver and it is painfully loud to shoot without hearing protection. Stay with a quiet .22 subsonic, your ears will thank you. If you can get the Aguila SSS Sniper Subsonic Ammunition 22 Long Rifle 60 Grain Lead Round Nose to shoot from your revolver you'll have found the perfect dispatch round. That 60 grain bullet packs a wallop while being very quiet.

.22 mag would be way overkill for a trapline gun caliber in my opinion. I have a .22 mag I use for coyote hunting, but for trapline I run only .22 LR at most.
think about it, you are only talking about trapline shots way up close. Way up close. They aren't going anywhere.

Money cannot buy you happiness, but it can buy you a trapping license and that's pretty close.

I have one in 22. like it. If using on the trapline you don't need the mag. I use shot hp in a Ruger single six for the trapline and kill all my animals with it, no need for anything bigger. The mag would make a good personal protection gun for a woman.

Mags in that short barrel don't make sense. You get the same velocity as a .22 LR, but pay a lot more for ammo.

For a trap line a 22 LR is fine in a snub nose, but some day she may want a carry a revolver and a 22 mag is not the best but better than a share stick. I am looking at a S&W 43c, it is a 22 LR, it will match my S&W 642 that is a 38 spl that is pricy to shoot.
But the 43c is a pricy revolver. JMO

I would agree depending on where and what time you are running traps noise can be important.

I have an older 1965 Ruger single six 22 with an interchangeable 22 mag cylinder. The only time I used the 22 magnum cylinder was for target practicing. For the trap line, I always used the regular 22 cylinder with excellent results.

I carry and use a Ruger Mark II .22 LR for all my dispatching. One shot between the eyes/ears does the job instantly. I recommend it for sure.

SR .22 not a revolver, but a good gun.

The SR22 is a good gun. Fits in my wader chest pocket. Shoots rat shot and hollow point real well.
