Thanks for the kind words, always happy to see others enjoy my work.
Usually only takes one tail half to make a billfold, except my check book wallets then I have to sew two halves together.
I do not tan the tails, my inventory is done by Specialty Leathers in Boon Iowa, who I recommend for others to have done, if wanting to use your own tails, they should be at least 8 inches long by 4 inches wide, "before" the curve of the tail.

Randy Shuff (another Tman member) also does phenomenal beaver tail wallets (and a variety of other items). Randy does his own tanning as well. They are really well done. I've not seen GritGuy's wallets, so can't make the comparison. Just another option.
