Is there any place that I can send my beaver tails to make wallets out of my own trapped tail?
Thanks for any help

Randy Shuff on TMan makes very good beavertail wallets. He tans the tails himself.

GritGuy is an artist in all things of beavertail leather. A true artist....in matching lashing, colours, matching belt buckles, everything.

I know there are other very good artists in that leather also. I just know GritGuy's art first hand.

Thanks for the kind words, always happy to see others enjoy my work.

Usually only takes one tail half to make a billfold, except my check book wallets then I have to sew two halves together.

I do not tan the tails, my inventory is done by Specialty Leathers in Boon Iowa, who I recommend for others to have done,
if wanting to use your own tails, they should be at least 8 inches long by 4 inches wide, "before" the curve of the tail.

More info you can PM, if needed.

Customers are my advertising, I cannot afford to have unhappy ones, thanks
Tom

Randy Shuff (another Tman member) also does phenomenal beaver tail wallets (and a variety of other items). Randy does his own tanning as well. They are really well done. I've not seen GritGuy's wallets, so can't make the comparison. Just another option.

Out of curiosity, what does it cost to have a wallet made if I supply the tail? PM answers if you would like.
