Has your camera ever captured a picture of a animal standing back there before? Meaning can it detect something that far away at night

If not, then it's a bird of some sort that flew past the cameras motion detector but was that far away quickly before the photo was taken

Just a thought

Thanks for all the interesting answers fellows ,at first i thought Fisher cause i have them on that same location , then i thought otter but never seen one at this spot, then i was thinking some kinda bird but it looks black in the pic not Owl color. Idunno must be sumpthin!

I think the texture of the feathers is likely causing the IR light to reflect in way that the photo looks darker than it is. Remember, this is a black and white image, darker colors are going to look black. The dark browns on a bird of prey are going to be dark grey, add to that the IR illumination and it explains the coloring.
