Been my experience they sometimes act goofy after feeding on fermented wild grapes.
I told that to Pap, he got a weird look and said, "I think YOU are drunk" LOL.

Never thought about the engine noise/vibration.

Yep, my wife’s stepfather called one time and said there was a bird out on his back porch and it wasn’t scared of him. I had to see for myself, so I headed over there thinking it was going to be somebody’s escaped pet. I get over there, and it’s a grouse, and he is right. It was not scared of us at all. It would follow us around, and would eat out of your hand and everything. It was really neat. It stuck around for about a month. Just disappeared one day and we never saw it again.

this new grouse I named Burton, after Burton Cummings of the Guess Who. the last one the 3-year old named it Lucy even though it was a male she just liked the name. we always had Polaris 4-wheelers, don't think it's the brand they like the drumming sound when it idles

Burton Cummins and the Guess Who, awesome music, he also starred in a movie about a popular rock star struggling with loosing popularity
The Guess Who had way better music than the British heroin addicts the Who
