What about an air compressor? Lowes usually has bostitch set with 3 nailers & hose for around $200

if shes into refabricating the furniture get her an electric stapler.

Staple gun/brad gun for reupholstering.

How about a router. She may need to rework a damaged piece.

If she gets into the furniture malarky to much, you are not going to be able to move around the house without stubbing your toes on random bits of furniture all over the place.

Rubber gloves, touch up brushes, different grains of sand paper course to very fine.

How about some videos or literature on the subject if available. Never can learn too much.

Steel wool various grades, rubber gloves, gallon of stripper, safety glasses and respirator.
