I'm looking for ideas to make a skinning machine clamp (more along the lines of the cam style) please post pics

Someone else made this for me. But it works really really nice. Haven't had any issues with torn coyotes since I started using it and can skin them fairly frozen.

Yep. I built all the ones pictured in this thread thus far. I custom build them to however anyone wants em.

Well now that ADC out'ed himself on this topic. I'll have to say that gate is the best money I ever spent on the trap line. One hand pushes the gate handle down while the other runs the winch control and it tightens right up and rarely is there slippage.

I got a little more free time with the market the way it is. lol Glad you like the skinner!

ADC's skinning machine (wall mount model) is something I wouldn't want to be without! Coin are a breeze
and canines much easier

They hold the hide, then you pull the carcass up with the hoist. You can lower it back down and wrap more fur so you don't need much head room.

I don't have any pictures but I was a pipe fitter by trade and I would bet a 6" butter fly valve would be the perfect clamping devise.
It has a notched plate where you can set and lock the valve opening and then both your hands would be free to skin.

Just do a goggle search. They are a bit pricy but a guy may be able to pick up some used stuff In some bone yard.
