Any suggestions for rustproofing lure bottle caps? These would be for K9's so I'd be concerned about the odor. I store my lures in a cool dark place over the summer but many of them have rusted to the point where I have to break the bottle and transfer what I can to a new bottle.

I've considered Vaseline

Plastic wrap helps but I buy new lids. Clean the jar put a small piece of plastic wrap over it and put new lid on.

I do something similar but use a piece of latex from a glove

That's a good idea. I use glycerine for so many things, thanks for one more.
