The key is to get quality bags and don't try to seal soaking wet meat, this prevents a good seal. Mine keeps for 2 years at least. I cut paper towels to fit just in side the bag to catch any liquids that come up in the vacuum stage.

I have 4 Food Savers. I have that many because we will make a lot of venison sausages at once and it takes all the Food Savers to package them. If I only used 2 Food Savers it would take all day to package because they always get hot and don't work for a while. So, when one or two get hot and won't work, I have back ups.
Must be nice to eat ice cream as fast as you want and not have to worry about brain freeze.

I have the old white food saver do 4-5 deer every year with it plus some small game. I buy avid armour bags from amazon J
