Have trapped coyote for some years and am curious what everyone uses to stake in the sand . Here in the sandhills i have always just double stake . The old guys around say to.have long chains but that seems like it would give coyotes more room to jerk on it hard or am i wrong? Most of.my coyote catches has been snaring so looking for some input on the footholds

long chains keep them from exserting force directly above the stake. With long chains they would have to pull stake at a angle requiring more force than they can produce.

I haven't had any problems with 15in wolffangs. Use the factory chain, just add a swivel midway. Don't think I've had one move so much as an inch.
