Pretty slow here. It’s a good thing Logan got his buck opening morning.
I have nothing clever to put here.

A week early for great movement. Things should really ramp up in 3-4 days.
swampgas chili and schmidt beer makes for a deadly combo

There is so much corn in the field here, I have no idea how anyone can see a deer for more than a couple seconds. Or, it is a public land, open area that looks like the pic I posted. . I didn't get a rifle permit, but am considering getting a muzzleloader permit and taking my T/C inline, scoped .50 cal up to Les's pl@ce and schooooting the thirty pointer off his porch from my truck.

Too much corn still standing, some of it over 8' tall. Deer could be standing on top of each other and still be hidden. Our group has only taken two so far. One going into the corn opening morning and one leaving right at closing Sunday. Most buck scraps I've ever seen on my land but they quickly go nocturnal when it is warm and can hide and feed in the corn. Because of wet weather it may not get picked, which pushes them back into my wooded land, in time this year.

We saw three lesser bucks trailing within a few feet of their doe of the moment. I jumped a large doe bedded by a large scrape first morning and checked it again the next morning and she was there again. Tracks in the mud showed the tale as well. I saw this large doe but none had an antler less tag.

Been awhile since I've seen one of them around home here Osky.

Been awhile since I've seen one of them around home here Osky. 9R I have one remote area near here that always has a moose or two. Even with all the wolf pressure and especially there the moose seem to make a living of it. I know an area out of little falls that is the same. Can’t quite figure out if it’s topograghy or what but I can always find them in those spots. Last winter there were three bulls standing together, one young and two very big beauties in the one area. I get a couple visitors like this on my place each year. They make quick work of hostas if you have any planted around. Osky

Found my first scrapes yesterday and saw a buck chasing a doe today. I think it is just starting here.
I have nothing clever to put here.
