On Life Below Zero, caribou tongue is supposed to be delicious. How about deer tongue? Can't be that much different. Anybody like deer tongue? I ate deer liver once, and it ruined me on beef liver even. Eww
Life ain't supposed to be easy.

Not sure about deer but caribou tongue is the best part of a caribou for me. Just cut in bite size pieces and boiled for 45 minutes or so.

beef tongue is ok. calf liver is good so is pork liver. deer liver elk liver is inedible. animals taste different. just cause you like a cut from one animal species doesn't mean you will like it from another,
give deer tongue a try. might be good. I think not though. you never hear anybody talk about eating it.

I always save my deer and elk tongues. You have to boil it for a long time and peel it. It is not my favorite but alright. I have eaten it sliced with mustard and or horseradish but my favorite is to fine grind it and make into a pate, add some onion, sweet pickles and mayo. Add a little of the pickle juice to get the right consistency. good on crackers or as a sandwich spread. I usually cook the neck bone along with the tongue and all that neck meat that is hard to cut off goes the same route. My mother did this with beef tongue .
