It was just a matter of time before one of these obnoxious critters blew up one of my sets. Lol

Haha your tman handle fits well! Can you at least keep them there? We have to let them all go. Protected in WI, go figure. Looks like a pretty one tho!

Nope. No catch circle picture. It’s a dandy though.

You guys have cool looking Badgers in Idaho.
Jim

Money cannot buy you happiness, but it can buy you a trapping license and that's pretty close.

That’s a miniature backhoe right there, and that K.O. Jr has got em.

That is a nice looking Badger on a comparative scale. I don't see a lot of Badgers, yes, Wisconsin is the Badger State but I believe based on Lead Miners not the animal. Hard to tell here and probably why wissmiss asked, the catch circle was about a foot deep- I couldn't believe it. Not a good catch pole critter- pulled out with a shoulder shrug, I released him with a plywood board. Never have caught one before- ok if I never do again.

I'll trade you. You take all our possums and we'll take your badgers.

Right now I’m having amnesia and déjà vu at the same time. I think I’ve forgotten this before.

How much do you expect you'll get for it's pelt?
They are an impressive animal.

That pelt unfortunately has very little value at this time of year. He had more of an undercoat than I would have expected but badgers won’t be of any value for another month. Since he was good looking and some reasons I won’t go into on a public forum he gets to live on my wall. If I taxidermy skinned him I might have been able to find a buyer but it still would have been discounted. The year before last I couldn’t keep them out of my traps. I killed 18 of them in a 5 week period. Hopefully I don’t get too many. A few is plenty.
