John, I’m going to use a squirt bottle so that I can squirt the glycerine right around the jaws. I figure I will know pretty quick whether I like it better or not. It has been suggested to me quite a few times, and I’m gonna try it this year. If I don’t like it, I will go back to the glycol and a spray bottle.

If you cut it 50/50 with distilled water, it makes a good humidifying agent for a cigar humidor.

This is how I use it. I sewed a pocket inside my lure vest, keeps it easier to use.
Don't forget the springs and leavers.

I start the season that way, but when you get into the serious freeze conditions, that is when I mix it in the mixer. With the top dress of wax dirt, you have a solid trap, and a water proof, freeze proof set that works. Last time I'm gonna say it!

I don't cover a trap with dirt in the freeze thaw weather.
I use a camo poly mash to cover my traps, and surrounding leaf litter.
Most of my traps are blind trail sets leading to my large buried baits.
If I want a dirt hole I have a small cloth I lay down and catch the frozen dirt on and move it to the left of the hole. Then I bed a trap and use ground duff to cover my traps.
Just how I do it.
We all make our own way to suit ourselves.

I have a almost full gallon left over from 3 years ago. Will it still be "odorless"?

Sniff it! you be the judge
I have never personally seen glycol that was odorless. Smell and taste vary widely amongst humans and then there is the idea that critters have a better sense of smell than we do.

The more in the jug, the better off you are. I can't say for sure, I am not a chemist, but I believe it is the air in the partial jug that lets it oxidize. I know if you leave the lid off the jug for a few days, the smell goes away. I have never had an issue using glycol on sets, and regularly catch yotes the first night. All the glycol I have on hand, I have had for several years now. I'm going trapping tomorrow, and I'm setting just like I always have, gonna use it up. Several jugs are half full! The yotes don't care!

(The yotes don't care!)
All I can comment on is what happens to me . The Propylene Glycol I got from Tractor Supply cost $20.00 a gallon .I don't know the quality of it . But I do know the half gallon I had left over one year . Took on a very strong chemical odor . It was very strong. And I can say without question the fox around here did care . I can't speak for yotes. There aren't any here yet .

Propylene glycol will turn over time and develop a chemical smell. I purchased some one time that smelled good, but six months later the gallon jugs of it took on a strong glue smell. I've had other quantities of it that stayed good for two years. I reckon it depends on how old it was when bought. Or it could be that the glycol that turned may have been in a half full drum where it may have begun to oxidize.

Wax dirt is the best thing I have found it works even with the funky weather we get here in SD rain/snow, freeze/thaw and it still works to point its scary at times. Have had traps buried under a foot and a half of snow that when it melts off they fire no problem.

The Glycol I have I got from Ogorman. I believe it has coyote urine mixed in with it. The jug looks almost new because I had it stored out of the sun. It has a strong urine smell. May be I could open it and let it air out. Other then that it looks fine. But for the $20 it costs and the limited 2 month season we have here in Maine I think I should toss it. I hate wasting anything
