I don't think its corrosive in and of itself. Glycol is basically an alcohol. However, if you apply it in sufficient quantities that it keeps your traps moist and in contact with soil, there is a good chance your traps will rust from the moisture and iron in the soil. That's as straight as I can come up with.

No it's not corrosive. Mix it with water maybe 1 part glycol to 3 part water and apply it with a spray bottle evenly as you bed trap

I've been using it the last few years now and it hasn't shown any corrosion on any of my traps either; pretty pleased with it.

Buy glycerine. It can be used the same as glycol for anti freeze.
And it has so many, many more uses.

I also keep it in a spray bottle, it helps blend in dry dirt that I bring to a set after a rain or heavy frost, looks more natural and makes me feel better. Never had any corrosion issues.

Just looked at my gallon- Propylene Glycol and PCS Outdoors sells it. I also got a C in chemistry, keep that in mind.

No not the same stuff ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Ethelene stinks bad,,,,,,,,and if you smell the propylene you kept from last year. It stinks bad too. Fresh propylene has no odor. But the old stuff,, you better chuck it .

I’ve always used glycol, but after the weather we had last year, I’m switching to glycerine this year.

Glycerine and glycol can be used interchangably. You fellows diluting it are shooting yourself in the foot. What happens when you get a bit of moisture that gets in/on the set after you have applied it? I'll tell you, it dilutes it and it will freeze. Seems like everyone wants to cut it with water. What works best is to premix glycol or glycerine with damp dirt (will keep well for a week or better in a covered container) in a cement mixer, then top dress with wax dirt. That has been the best usage of either product for me, but it takes a bit more effort. If you want fast, just use cloride and rust your traps up!

I thought "No." was a fairly straightforward answer.

Here's another straight answer. Don't put the propylene glycol you buy from F&T in your eyes.

Why was yours so expensive? Over $700 a gallon seems a little spendy.....

I would think Glycerine is too Thick. The thinner Propylene Glycol that you buy from most trapping supply dealers is the way to go adding several parts water and it can be sprayed onto your sets.
