For those that have used both, are they just as effective for coyote as they are for Bobcat?

I don't like them for k9's, rather have trap close when there foot is in the center.

I can see there advantages but I feel it depends on how much gap there is from the pan to the jaw

Kirk it's just about as easy just add trap to that location for a digger.
Unless you are not in a hurry ,they rarely can count.

I don’t have any scientific data so this is just my opinion. I don’t believe it helps on diggers, fact is I’m still not sure how they dig and flip traps the way they do sometimes. I do believe big pans help on critters that just pass through and don’t spend any time at your set.

HERE 90% of the time diggers are coons not predators. if you got a digger make a mock trap bed position it so it gets caught trying to dig! Works like a charm

My first thought is I dont want big pan for a digger. My trap of choice for digger yote is mb450 3swivels and super stake. Bedded tight and blended

Larger then most of the stock pans help. But the big ones bring there own problems. I found the bigger the pan the more important pan tension is needed.
The best medicine I have found for diggers is power bedding. A fat guy did a video on YouTube a while back on Veterans Day. Seemed to work for him.
God Bless,
Dustin
