When calling at night what color light seems to work best for you. Green, red, yellow, or white.

I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.

I have an LED Light on my rifle. I can change colors using an external dial between red, green, and white. Even when changing colors, the center of the LED beam stays focused in the center of the scope image. It is amazing how what is best can vary between red and green depending upon ambient light, moisture, and temperature. Usually red lights up the eyes the farthest, but green lights up a little more animal for shooting. Sometimes one color or the other is much better, then it can change.
I have a the same in a handheld version with a pistol grip. Made by Wicked Lights. The mounts are rock solid, the batteries last amazingly long. Great rheostat control and the button to turn on is very sensitive. I highly recommend their products.
When I moved up to the Wicked Light system and a high end Foxpro, the difference was dramatic. No more play toys.
That handheld light can make some stealthy trap checks possible. Good for in a problem area where I want to stay back.
