Where would be a great hunt? Needs to be public land or something ridiculously cheap. Preferably Nebraska or Dakotas.

Either place has birds and less pressure then most places we have been having issues with 4 wheelers/SBS the last few years the old days of walking down a road running and gunning are being replaced by a few guys ripping up every trail in a 5 square mile area now, if it's open they will be there! Not all but it only takes a few to mess a lot of ground.


Just need to go to them off of the roads don't sit on the roads and call your chances drop that way.

There are few things more annoying than walking deep into a quiet, peaceful wilderness only to have the retard brigade show up on 4 wheelers in a non motorized area.

Seen a idiot going cross country (illegal) power up a steep hill and walk to the edge of the draw and start yelping! LOL

Black hills would be your best bet for public land in SD. There are turkeys on some of the Walk in Areas, but they are far and few between. And most of these ranchers want money to hunt if you go knocking on doors.

Highly recommend Pine Glenn area near Basset Nebraska. VERY good population,camp right where you are hunting, and the game commission in Basset will help with anything you may need. Good Luck

Do you apply for big game out west at all? If you do those states may have them.
