What are the skidsteer attaché,nuts that you could not live without

I only have a few but would be hard to live without them, would like to know which ones you really like and why

I currently have a bucket, forks, landscape plane, and homemade grapple, and a root knife. I like them all the root knife seems to have all kinds of uses, from digging out stumps to roughing a trench to bury pipe or cable. Made from ardox 500 steel

Don't have a skidsteer but augers would be a great investment and would be a good way to make extra money or gain access to private land

Forks is Number one on my list with my brush grapple second. Now I want a tree shear. Next is a bigger tracked skid steer with a forestry brush cutter. That's on my wish list.

My Skid Pro tiller is probably the best attachment I own. Twice as heavy duty as any I've seen. Great for food plots. Takes humps out of yards. Also an auger is extremely valuable. You can make some nice extra money with these.

All items listed are great to have, also a cement mixer is handy. I think the best thing they ever did with a skid was make one with a single arm. Where I work we got a terex first and I thought it was awesome, because I had never used a skid. About a year later we got a volvo with a single arm, and man do I hate that terex now. My boss keeps it at his place and I have the volvo. The volvo has more balls too, not as fast, but I don't stall it out nearly as much as I did the terex when digging holes.

Bmccoyote,

Besides the access from the side what are the other advantages to a 1 arm machine? Is it any more tippy with lifting on the one side?

Heavy duty 80" clam style root and brush rake grapple, extendable work platform that goes on the forks is used almost daily on construction sites, backhoe attachment with swing arm, auger, 96" 6 way dozer blade. An articulated swing arm brush cutter is next on the list.

I am going to buy a skidsteer, mostly for the forks and work platform. But I could do concrete form prep work or about any task I'd like to replace a hand tool with.

I haven't noticed it tipping to the side arm is one and I've picked up 8 foot tires with it that weigh 2500 to 3000 lbs. It is pretty wide, around 6' or 6'6", and sits low to the ground. The cab and the arm are centered on the tracks, so if you look at just the cab it looks off center. There is also more visibility in the volvo versus the terex. The one thing that could be a disadvantage is the track tension system. The track are kept tight by greasing them, and sometimes I'm not the most diligent about that. It's really not that hard to get the track back on, but it can be a little messy.

Yeah you can slot push a lot of litter with an 84" or 96" bucket. And they work great for snow removal.

We use a Harley rake. I like the wood processor. We don't have a wood processor. Maybe you could rent your attachments if you have a rental yard just down the road.

Harley rake is what I was going to say. It will do wonders for your yard, and it is usually pretty easy to find work for it too. A track machine is best to run it. Make sure whatever attachments you buy that need hydraulics don’t require more flow than your machine will put out though.
