What's the heaviest bobcat you've ever gotten? I read something the other day that said on rare occasions big males can reach 50 pounds.?

I never weighed one but im confident this one wasn't over 30. 50 would be a monster heres another big tom. no where near 50 pounds about one in a thousand (maybe) of the 30 pound coons you hear about will really weigh 30 on a scale

Biggest one I've caught sold to a Taxidermist last year and he weighed it almost 29lbs Tom. He Said it was one of the bigger Males hes seen, and he does a ton of cats. He said everyone has a 30lb cat until you put it on the scale lol. Missouri's record is a 35lb female, but I'm sure people have caught larger and never messed with getting it officially weighed. I've seen a few in Coyote Tournaments up here that have Deer eating shoulders on them. His Pad filled a 550.

Biggest one I’ve ever seen in person weighed was 38# and that was an absolute toad. I see thousands a year and the real big ones are 30-34lbs

58 lbs and change. Caught by Sid Berg in 89 if memory serves. Officially weighed and acknowledged by the MN DNR. The rug looked like a small lion. He has passed, I'm not sure who has that rug now.

The biggest I caught was on my birthday 2 years ago. If memory serves me correctly he was 36 lbs. Caught a female the day before she was 28 lbs. The wardens were shocked on how big it was. Here's both

Back before I quit mounting Bobcats (violent allergy to them) I took in a bunch of them. I did a couple that were in the low-to-mid 40's, both the same season actually, but the heaviest I know of from personal friends/acquaintances was a 'cat chased for 2-3 years by the same 'cat guide. He told me he figured it went an honest 50 on the hoof. One of his clients shot the cat the next season after he told be about it. It was skinny and going down hill and weighed 48 pounds. He was pretty close on his guess of it's size.
