I would think you would attract more deer than yotes. But hey ya never know.. Soak some in everclear to make a tincture.
Common sense catches alot of fur.. Pay homage to all you harvest..

I have some tarsal gland cooking in Everclear at the moment. I will give it a shot come trapping season.

If fresh deer smell is what your after by all means tincture in alcohol. I never said to don't do it. I said I'm not a fan of it.

Hawbaker's fox book had a formula that involved deer brains, the tarsal glands, finely shaved hooves, and various other components.
