So frustrating that people become addicted to drugs. Makes ya wonder what drives someone to try these drugs in the 1st place. USA doesn't seem to be making progress in the war on drugs.

Sorry to hear that, it’s a nasty drug. I have a hard time feeling bad for the users themselves. They’re often given many chances out. I feel bad for the families, and especially young children involved. They don’t stand a chance growing up without parents.

got a daughter doing federal time for meth. no clue why some choose that path. seems like every family has at least one so I don't believe its lack of role models or lack of parenting. role models/parenting, may be one reason but not the only one. I believe some people are just wired that way from birth

I am so sorry but do not feel as though you are alone and blame yourself for what happened. My family has gone through the lying, stealing and cheating of a meth addict.

My brother-in-law was a very intelligent multi-millionaire famous businessman from Wisconsin but from the last we heard of him he is living on the streets of Palm Springs Calf. It would not surprise us if we get a call someday saying he is dead.

He has lost all trust from his family and friends. His last grab for money was from his 85 year old mother. My wife and I alone had given him over $50,000 dollars to help him out before we knew meth was the cause of downfall. First time I had ever seen the inside of a jail was when I bailed him out.

As with any addict it is always someone else’s fault for their addition. Please don’t blame yourself or continue to help them financially. It is tough love and all you can really do is to pray for them

got a brother in law dying right now. hepatitis from sharing needles. hasn't used dope in quite a few years but not much else they can do for him. he's on a transplant list but it aint looking good.

I think the only option we have to reduce the damage dope is doing to our country and society is first END THE WAR ON DRUGS.

What we are doing is not working. To much money being made from the misery. The incentives monetarily are to keep doing what we are doing. If you don't think drug money has corrupted every level of our government from a local city cop, to elected sheriffs, to the dea, to the fbi, to congress to the whitehouse, climb out from under your rock and look around.

We are not even destroying opium poppies in the country that is the #1 producer of opium even though our troops are occupying the country. That fact should tell you everything you need to know about the war on drugs.

The prevention of addiction lies within our families, and our compassion for our fellow man. It doesn't lie in a prison cell.

Meth is a rotten stuff. My own stepfather was an addict his whole life. Terrorized our family my whole childhood, beat the tar out of my mother most every night, in and out of prison. He finally got killed in a fist fight over a loud radio at a halfway house a few years ago. I feel for you, the pain and trauma caused by an addict will be with you forever.

Guys in the last 10 years of my teaching career I've had 6 students die from herion overdose!
What happened to the war on drugs? Kind of faded away.....
