Lost a good friend and brother in law yesterday. He committed suicide. He jumped to his death from from a bridge into a shallow river. I was fishing that same river the night before not even two miles down river. Never will I look at that spot the same again. My brother in law didn't hunt, fish or trap, but always had a smile and a hand to lend. I just wanted to say he'll be greatly and forever missed.

From our first gasp of air as babies we fight to live. Even newborns in water strive for the surface naturally. When someone of a clear mind gets to the point of doing this I think they have gone to a very dark place that none but maybe a very few will ever understand.
God finds those even in the deepest darkness,may he rest in peace.

I just want to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers. I means so much to me and my family. Just went and picked up his SUV. Climbed in and broke down. Because lying there in the console where his new glasses. He was always worried he would break or lose his glasses. If we were working on anything he'd take them off. We were just joking around trying to make light of this hard time. My wife and mother-in-law both said " He probably took them off so he didn't see the bottom coming, because he was blind as a bat without them." Thanks again everyone! It's nice to know that you can go on to a place like Trapperman and find support in a time of need. To all of my Trapperman family you are all have a safe and happy day. Remember to tell your loved ones you love them because life is to short. Thanks again.
