I quit locking my trailer and leave nothing valuable and a bottle of Skol or Taaka and a note.

That's a light. I had a trail cam set up about a month ago when some break ins were happening but they caught them. So I pulled it. Guess there are more dirt bags around

Nothing worse than a thief! How some people think they have a right to other people's hard earned stuff, I just cant comprehend!

Oh the house had an alarm system and there are signs on doors but it is disconnected as I have been replacing trim and doors

I'm buying a new door and list about $1000 worth of tools. And because it's a rental property my insurance only covers loss of building type stuff. Not theft

yup been there , this year stolen right from my drive way.

cameras are cheap compared to the stuff they steel.

hopefully i will never have to find out if the cameras work , I don't normally leave guns in trucks but the one time I did. my sons rifle , he thought I brought it in I though he brought it in and it got stolen.


where Tweed is things are really bad , my cousin was at a wedding on new years in Milwaukee car idling under the awing at the hotel the valet watching it all the wedding presents , the dress everything in the car and it was stolen , below zero temps and the valet guy watching the car and it was still stolen. they walk up get in and drive away in daylight

I have a friend who used to flip houses in Chicago suburbs just before the housing collapse he and a 3 man crew the day he singed the papers on the house they would move in to one bed room of the house that was the last to get refinished and at no time was one of them not there until the place sold.


they made money on the houses , he knew exactly what they could do and how long and for how much and what he could sell a place for most properties he never even made the first payment on they could turn a house around in under a month. but the only way not to loose all your tools and supplies was to have them in the house with someone living there keeping an eye on things 24/7 they would take turns.

I zoomed in but can't tell, is that top deadbolt a key type or do you have a lil knob thingy on it. Always use keyed deadbolts on doors with glass. Make the (This word is unacceptable on Trapperman) have to climb through.

They are a despicable bunch of human refuse. My step dad's farm was burglarized so many times they had to stop keep anything of value there or it would be gone the next day. Sheriffs dept was of no use.

5 years ago I didn't bother to lock the doors or take the keys out of the vehicles. Two times in the last three years either mine or my parents farm across the highway have been robbed. I had 4 dozen 280's stolen and my parents had a Gatortail motor and a fourwheeler swiped. They got theirs back, I haven't.

I am not sure if we were all just lucky out here for so long or what. I don't leave the doors or anything else unlocked these days though.

be sure to check your fire code , I had a boss insist I install a keyed both sides , till the fire marshal saw it then he insisted I quickly switch it back to thumb turn.

but since your replacing the door you can go to a door without a window

or of you live near Tweed you get a custom welded expanded steel screen door with dead bolts high and low and expanded steel covers for your windows with latches inside so that you can get out in a fire from the inside but not get in from outside easily.

Yep. Keyed deadbolt. They had to climb through the window. Then they opened another window to get out. Was going to replace that door soon as I had just finished the new porch on Sunday

Sorry you got broken into and robbed. I hope they catch the thief. Here's an idea, replace the diamond shaped bars on the doors window with square ones, then, cut out the one closest to the handle and replace with a 330, anchored SOLID to a stud You will literally catch the thief RED HANDED.

Theives are having a field day with facebook,I bet.People advertise their entire personal life to everyone in town-when they go on vacation,who they are with,when they left,when they get home.

Once in awhile these lowlifes do get caught in the act, but unfortunately its against the law to do society a favor and just remove them from the gene pool.

Just hit a call that there was another vehicle just there and that he seen someone get in to it and drive away. So I'm headed over again. Got a trail camera set now. Hopefully they're on it
