Hello.....looking for pointers and suggestions on walleye/northern recommended methods.

We will be on Boot Lake in August, St. Germain area, it seems small but should be good for the kids.

Any other recommended lakes in the area? I have never been there so any suggestions are appreciated!

I spent a month up in northern wisconsin and minnesota last summer and we fished the Buckatabon lakes which aren't too far from where you are talking about. There's an upper and a lower lake and they're connected so you can get through to either.

We were mainly fishing for bass, there are a lot of largemouth in there and some good quality. There aren't any shortage of pike as we caught several while bass fishing too. Not sure on the walleye side of things, but there's definitely a good population of fish in there. Good luck!

Gotta live up to the nickname...

Try slip bobbers with leeches on the 16’ drop off in front of Plum Creek on Big St Germain in the evenings for walleyes.

I'd also ask on the wisconsinoutdoorsman forum too, if you haven't already.
