I'm reminded of that song from the "Best little Chicken Ranch in Texas", about "You gotta dance a little 2 step".

Pelosis second great performance. Don't you all remember her from the Wizard of Oz? She was the scarecrow, Dorothy had to ask her " What would you do with a brain if you had one?"

Pelosi and O Bummers great grand mother ..... whats her name ....... Maxine Waters ...... They should get jobs as car crash dummies. A dozen crashes or so may improve their looks and rattle some sense into those empty heads.
Let's go Brandon

He makes a lot of sense...and Pelosi has none.
Govt imposes mandates upon every one else, why not mandate the schools have a basic, across the board, level of security. Of course the govt would just screw it all up...but just calling for more background checks and mental health screening "IS" doing nothing. Figures. It is not a good idea to use the several other cases of government overreach to justify new overreach.

took a gun to school way more days than not. so did my friends. nobody ever got shot. surly it wasn't cause the crazy kids knew a shoot out wouldn't end well for them.

Grandpa Trapper, what is really scary, there are some on Tman who will vote Democrat this November. If this steps on any toes, to bad!!!!!

I think she didn’t avoid the question, per se, but did say what is being looked at. She was asked what the federal govt was going to do? Not what everyone in that room wanted the federal govt to do. There’s a big difference here.
Govt 101 says the best way for the federal government to behave in these instances is to appropriate money to the states. The states will then appropriate money to the counties because the county unit, in many instances, does the best job of determining the level of problem and the best solution. Florida is not Nevada, is not Iowa, is not Louisiana. We’re all different so the solutions can be different and still meet community needs. Think about it: mandating teacher training is no different than mandating health insurance. The principals are the same but the outcomes can vary widely across the country. And should.
Never too old to learn

I was rather impressed that the CNN guy actually got that limiting entry points and having security there made sense.
as in he and she both worked in buildings that took a realistic approach to security in the real world and had secured entry.
if you recall parkland limited the access significantly with gates that were locked till just a few minutes before school ended. I think the decided the guy opening the gates was victim 1.
they also had an onsite resource officer who waited outside the door for backup to arrive for 7 minutes while the shooting took a little over 6 minutes inside before the shooter dropped his gun and left.
I am convinced that the only thing that you can reliably expect to work when everything else has failed is armed personnel who are dead anyway if they don't fight.
how many fires would never need more than a 5 pound fire extinguisher if there was someone holding one right there when the fire broke out.
control entry points , harden the building , good camera coverage , a link into the cameras from police dispatch so that real time shooter location can be called out over the radio. even then how fast a target can break line of site will probably cut the time and victim availability the most to give the responders a few more seconds to get there.

You hit it on the head, the government would just screw it up like they did with the Florida shooting. How many warnings did they fail to act on there??? It's these same ones pushing for more gun control. Government involvement doesn't work. They've proved that.
Most in this country have things people in other countries only dream about. Yet, they want America to be more like those other countries.
