Two states - and traps at good locations made for a pretty good year on the bobcat trap line!

tactical.20, Nebraska and Texas cats. Western and southwestern grade at NTA mostly, but I missed this year's auctions because I was still trapping high fence ranches. Actually have one more ranch in south TX to trap for 12 days in July. Man-o-man, it'll be hot but the money is good here in TX for quality leg hold trappers. Snare guys are everywhere but not many who can work over predators with leg holds. I'm usually about the 4th person they call, so the critters can be "tricky" which I like... challenge. 1st - the trapper who is not very skilled 2nd - the cousin who says he can get it done for free 3rd - USDA 4th - me The cats are gravy $$ on top of my fees.

And Windwalker is just plain silly good on cats. And I cannot tell you "exactly" why HuntinHal, even though I make it. They just hammer it and a bunch of these died trying to get to it I promise you!

That cousin needs to go someplace! Ain’t nothing free, and if it is. Boy, will it cost you.

Interesting, too bad they don't use the best method first, someone like you that produces good results, sometimes same thing happens in wy, I didn't draw an elk tag this year, so I hope I can make an out of state trapping trip this year
