If you are interested in numbers Day Lake about 40 miles east has many medium sized muskies like 30-40 inch fish and some big largemouth. It is is part of the Chippewa River that feeds the Chippewa Flowage. Spider, Lost Land and Teal are smaller lakes with good opportunities for muskies. If you like smallmouth bass the Rivers both forks of the Chip, both Forks of the Flambeau and the Jump have good numbers of smallies, eyes and muskies. The river muskies don't get as heavy but being a current fish fight like the dickens. Same with the smallies.

I am bringing my own boat but we are staying in a cabin with another couple friends of ours on smith lake which is a fairly small lake just north of the town of Hayward. I plan to poke around plenty on it for whatever it has to offer maybe in some mornings that everybody else sleeps in or in the evenings

I would have some lakes picked out for some wind direction and or speed or sheltered areas. Some of the lakes and flowages you mentioned can get pretty tough to fish if you get some 20 plus mph winds. Fish bite well with some chop but boat control can be an issue. We are experiencing some real dry weather in northern WI as right now so some of the rivers may be down or low for June. Low water can impact some of the flowages as well. Also many of the lakes here are stained so they are dark, not dirty but dark. Some suggested Moose Lake and Moose is an example of very dark water, almost like looking into an ink well.

As long as Bryce is outing some good lakes in the Clam lake area, lower Clam lake has Muskie numbers, Diamond lake has Large Walleye, Long lake for big Smallies. There are some small lake jewels with huge Smallies and massive Gills but I can not "remember" the names.
