Seresto, here, my dog spends a lot of time at my property and with me in the woods.

Was trapping pocket gophers yesterday. Had 5 wood ticks on me. For a quick fix on my dogs, I like Adams Spray. It repels ticks and fleas and kills them too. Plus, it lasts a long time.
Must be nice to eat ice cream as fast as you want and not have to worry about brain freeze.

How well do the seresto collars work if your dog goes swimming a lot? I had been using Advantix II made by Bayer Corp. with good results up until last summer when a new application failed to do anything to repel or kill fleas on my lab. I had bought a three-month supply and emailed Bayer about the problem. They couldn’t be bothered to reply, never heard back from them. After inquiring here on Tman and getting many recommendations for the Seresto collar, I bought one, even though I was leery because they are also made by Bayer. My dog swims in a pond on my property almost everyday spring, summer and fall. Bayer says the collar is good for eight months for dogs that don’t swim or get a bath more than once a month. It’s supposed to be good for five months for fleas, seven months for ticks if your dog swims more than once a month. I got one solid month out of it before the fleas returned. I bought another collar and began removing it every chance I could before he went swimming. Sometimes when we’re fetching he just runs down and jumps in the pond and I don’t have a chance to. That increased the life of the second collar to about three months.
Eh...wot?

Bravecto. the vet has to give a prescription for it and it lasts 3 months. Its $38 for the one tablet that lasts that long. I have two working coyote dogs and they have never had a flea or a tick stay on them. I will continue to buy it and I recommend it to anyone that needs tick/flea control. ^^^^^^^this^^^^^^^^^.
