I shot a 150# sow on my place last October, this one looks bigger. Didn't expect to see another so soon. For reference I'm standing at the same spot...240#. From What I Can See That Bear Has A Real Long Neck. That Characteristic Is Generally Indicative Of A BIG Bear !!! Osky Would Know Better !! w

Doesnt look very big, I will say around 180#. Realy skinny neck and sure looks like that bear is a little closer to the camera than where you were standing in the picture to me.

Purely guessing it's really tough with the night-day comparison, 235 live weight. Seems to be getting a decent size muzzle. I believe it bigger than 150 for sure. I know guys put cameras up for deer and many other creatures, a good idea is to always have a measured vertical mark that shows up night or day in the frame. A ribbon, a stake, a blaze on a tree etc. Again, just a guess on this one.

....I'm standing exactly where his mid-section is in the first pic....look at the distance to the trees. the second picture is the most clear picture of the bear to me, and going off that picture you can see the 2 different color shades where the grass changes and it sure looks like the bear is a few feet closer to the camera than you are. My first judgment still stands- right around 180#.

After the bear takes a dump, it's live weight will be 211 pounds and 12 ounces.

Pass... Here is an example. The feed box is 16 1/2 inches high. The black screw heads on the corner are 4 inches apart which show the box is sitting on pretty firm footing. Double box height plus a few inches to the Bears back makes live weight up in the 300 range. Our DNR generally collars only sows so this would be a large sow for sure. I have only seen my gusts take 3 sows bumping 300. I do not field weigh them, if they are 270 plus on my camp scale we left at least 30 in blood and guts in the woods. No matter where I put cameras in the woods and regardless of the animals I want to film I always have a known measure point. Works well for all animals.
