We have a Sea Ark that we turned into a fire boat at the station. Has a VW engine to run the pump so its pretty heavy. We run duel 250s on it. That thing handles like a dream at full throttle. That sounds like a fire killing machine. Did you all do work on the transom to handle the weight, and extra hp?

Danz, that looks like an awesome shallow water rig. That is the size I want, to replace my 1860 alumacraft. My old boat is built with .100" aluminum, and is still in great shape. For what I do, .125 will be fine, as I am not hard on my boat. Most of my friends have other brands than seaark, so I have never been in one. My old modified vee, rides pretty rough in choppy water, but I have never cracked a weld. It is a 5 degree deadrise, which is close to flat. The old 1860 will stay in the family, and will be my sons first boat. We have 22 years of great memories in her!

I don't blame ya on the bass boat. Had a Ranger myself. It was fun, but wasn't something to take on the rivers and do some cat fishing or nothing from. My wife said mine was too fast. After the dog flew off the back end of it, I sold it. Don't regret it a bit. Grandma was right, wasn't nothing but a hole in lake I kept throwing money into. I think you got the right idea. Buy what YOU want and know will fill your needs. Good luck! Wanna see pics when you get it! Wow, your dog flew out the back!? Hope it was ok. Probably wasn't real exited about going for a boat ride with you any more. Lol

....they looked like a heck of a boat when I was shopping for a new aluminum a few years back....problem was you needed more money than a jew goin back to Italy in order to get into one lol
Insert profound nonsense here

My Rhodesian Ridgeback likes to go in the boat. He actually likes to go wherever I go, and does not like being left behind. They will get a lil cocky, and fall out once in a while. Mine never fell out yet, and he likes to walk the edges of the bow, but when the outboard is running, he lays down. He growls at the I-pilot trolling motor, and looks at me as if to say, did you see that!!! Who made that sucker move? Grrrrrr!
