Dot not feather that is. Looking for a good tandoori chicken
Recipe for on the grill. I like cooking with curry a lot but never have made actual
Tandoori chicken.

You can’t make authentic tandoori chicken without a tandoor.

Good thing you clarified there...I was going to say McDonalds is Indian food around here. Anything else is too much work.

Yes, we do a fair amount of curries and venison tiki masala.

There's a local spice shop, Penzey's, that has great spices. I have their tandoori that I use for chicken and pork. They're forever sending me coupons for free spices too!

Can't stand the smell of Curry. Reminds me of the motels I stayed in when working out of town in the SE lower 48.

I think there is two kinds of curry. To me one is almost repulsive and the other is eatable. The smell of the first one we had a lot when I was overseas in a lot of southeast Asian countries, I did not like it at all. Super yuckie......jk

There are several kinds of curries, in fact each region of India has it's own. Kerala is different from Tamil Nadu and in general south Indian curries are different from northern curries. Some use meat, others not. Tandoori Chicken is a northern dish and is wonderful.

My wife makes a killer chicken curry from a recipe that my mother passed down to her. (I spent five years of my youth in Madras, which is now called Chennai). Some of the best curry is now in the UK to be honest.

I think asafoetida is used in some curries...gives it that foot smell.
