How strong is the frame/ receiver on the new Henry single shot rifles? Can it handle stronger hand loaded ammunition?

Suggest you call them up and ask them.

If you are reloading ammunition within the guidelines of the manuals, shouldn't be a problem with any gun made past 1940.

They are very well built , you shouldn't have any problem .

Some models have a mettalic looking plastic facade over the receiver that might hold up. They told me "it's not called plastic it's synthetic"

Your hand load should be quite similar to factory ammunition. If you want to load a 223 or 243 up to a 7mm mag, then you should just buy the bigger caliber.

Purse...sows ear...you get the picture.

Thank you!

Happy just to be in the woods. Happier if I make meat and fur!

My uncle is a metallurgist and does a lot of testing for several gun manufacturers. He said the Henry rifles are the cheapest and poorest quality steel of all he tests. He recommended staying away from them as he thought they were an accident waiting to happen. For this reason, I won't spend my money to find out.
