I just randomly blind set 1 1/2s or 11s exposed around the perimeter of the coop and run for chicken eating coons and have always scored on first night. Coons get bold around chickens and any trap laying on top of the ground or hanging on the pen fence is apt to catch them. Traps can be set off or bucket covered when birds are loose and uncovered or reset at dusk.

Bowwhitetail trapper B Joined: Jan 2018 Posts: 717 Southern Il.	We lost 6 chickens last night. All were completely eaten. Whatever eat them got them out of the coop, climbed on top of the coop and ate them. We have had coons get in our chickens before and usually they kill on every night until I can catch them. Does this sound more like a bobcat?
