I know Sterling bought the line, but does he still make and produce them for Sterling? I also know he has a second line called Pro Grade that I think he still makes.

Just wondering who is making the his original line.

Thanks.

What I've gathered is Sterling owns the rights to some of his lures, but Russ continues to make them himself. I believe but don't quote me that the "Pro" lures is what Russ still personally owns as well as makes.

Works for me. Thinking of giving some red fox gland and some bobcat gland from him a try. I know he uses first class ingredients as far as pee and glands, so should be a win-win.

If I use a lure which isn't very often Pro-Choice got a lot of attention on my line. I haven't used it for a while but when I did fox, coyotes and cats all seemed equally attracted.

I think it's safe to say a lot of different people have caught a lot of fox (and coyotes) on Carman's lure. grin

I bought out a trapper a few years ago and he had pro's choice and canine call. And they worked very good just like they did twenty + years ago.

I had a paper route and I cut grass, saved up in the summer and placed a mail order for some Russ Carmen lure. I got 6 4 once bottles of fox lure and a small amount of urine. The price was 8.00 per 4 once bottle, my parents thought it was crazy to spend money like that. 1978 or thereabouts.

I remember, had to have been 20 plus years ago, placing a small order. When it arrived,it clearly wasn't mine as there had to have been 100 different bottles of all kinds of goodies.Called and explained we got somebody else's order and they said keep it.I thought wow at the time.

Bobcat lure, circle maker, and pros choice all work for me. Caught my first cat with the bobcat gland lure. Never forget that. Gonna give a few of the other lures a try eventually.

I can't believe nobody has mentioned the Vent Scent yet.
