Things like that really have the potential to hurt us bad. Thanks for bringing it to our attention, Jumper. Many times, I've picked up carcasses and other trash left behind by other so-called "sportsmen".

I usually got rid of my fox carcasses back in on state land years ago. My rat carcasses now are cast out back.
Out of site of the weekend riders. Usually in the heavy cover as well.
They all disappear. Doing anything otherwise is not good for our image.
Same as the people who kill (poach) a deer, cut off the rear quarters and toss the rest in the ditch.

How many guys in that area take 50 yotes a year should not be hard to figure out who the suspects might be then offer a reward maybe.

Yeah that does nothing to help the already tainted image we trappers have. Downright irresponsilbe. There is a similar dump sight used down in North-Central Idaho. Definitely gives us a bad image.

That's exactly what I thought Law Dog, I was hoping somebody living near their knows some 50 coyote a year folks or if there is any fur handlers left in that area, and sends a tip to a CO.

you said on the national Forest! He could've dumped them in a spot where he never thought they would be found and person that found it made a big deal of it! I found a pile of coyote out in the middle of the woods I would say somebody had a good year good for them now if the wrong person finds it they will think some demonic person is having some weird animal ritual and make a big deal out of nothing! I wouldn't be so jumpy towards trying to throw the law at them!

What would it of cost to take them to a paid dump site really $20 and we would never know of this issue!

Perhaps Wisconsin should change their laws to a "feed the eagles" program, instead of having the DNR making reports looking for promotions. I was speaking with a farmer who had a good year trapping coyotes, so the deer, pheasants and pets will have a good year around here, and as I have been noticing more bald eagles this year, he said, that they were feeding on his carcass pile of coyotes and fox. That is why Benjamin Franklin did not want the bald eagle as a national symbol as they are carrion eaters. As the DNR in every state is fixated on raising and protecting predators, the solution would be to pass legislation in putting dump locations for carrion eaters to feed them. It would be over a hill and out of sight, but then the bunny huggers could all descend on the areas in their green cars, eating things wrapped in plastic, and peer out their windows at eagles, crows and owls being green in cleaning up carrion. Making things illegal does not stop criminals. So it would make more sense to make it a positive so wildlife would be fed an solving a problem. The guy feeding coyotes to the eagles is not having a problem as another guy with a farm by the city, where an eagle is eating his cats. Yes they eat more than carrion, but being lazy, you might as well save the pets and have fat eagles which are not out hunting. Trappers feeding National Symbol is called public relations work in changing a negative to a positive, because you can not change human criminals.

Not legal to dump anything in the Forest, I put out carcasses on private for the eagles myself and the landowner has to approve first the rest go in a pit to get burned. The dumping part is bad enough but just off the road what was he thinking not a Hallmark moment for sure.
